Appointment of Ryan Romeo, M.D. as Course Director for the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine Clinical Procedures Course

It gives us great pleasure to announce the appointment by the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine of Dr. Ryan Romeo as Course Director for the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine Clinical Procedures Course, succeeding Dr. Jacqueline Morillo-Delerme, who served in this capacity.

Ryan received his MD degree from the Pennsylvania State University College of Medicine and completed his residency at the University of Pittsburgh.

He is currently an Assistant Professor and Staff Anesthesiologist at Magee-Womens Hospital of the UPMC Health System and is certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology.

Ryan has been the Director of the University of Pittsburgh Department of Anesthesiology Student Summer Preceptorship Program for the past 2 years. He is a simulator instructor for third and fourth year medical student Human Simulation Courses. Ryan has served as a session leader for the Initial Patient Assessment and Monitoring segment of the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine Clinical Procedures Course.

Ryan is also very active in the Department of Anesthesiology Residency Program by instructing residents in the CA-1 20 Day Didactic Lecture Series and Simulation, CA1/CA2 Lecture Series, Difficult Airway Management, PBLDs, Neonatal Resuscitation, Oral Board Reviews and serving as a member of the Selection and Appointment Subcommittee.

We congratulate Ryan on his appointment as Course Director for Clinical Procedures and wish him continued success.
