Rita Patel, Bill McIvor and Michael Mangione are commended for their talent and creativity. These appointments are based on the recommendation of the AME Membership Committee and recognize the sustained record of excellence and achievements in medical education of this group of faculty members.

Appointments are effective January 1, 2006 for a five year term. As noted in the guidelines (http://www.medschool.pitt.edu/academy), members of the AME must be involved with the education of medical students, graduate students, and/or residents for the duration of appointment to the Academy.
