The Laerdal foundation continued funding for the second year to Dr. Tomas Drabek for his work on the delayed resuscitation model following exsanguinations cardiac arrest. Dr. Drabek also recently published a paper in Circulation titled Induction of Profound Hypothermia for Emergency Preservation and Resuscitation Allows Intact Survival From Cardiac Arrest Resulting from Prolonged Lethal Hemorrhage and Trauma in Dogs. Dr. Xianren Wu a first year anesthesia resident coauthored the article.
