We are pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Erin Sullivan to the newly created position of Director, Cardiac Anesthesia, UPP Anesthesiology. Her expanded responsibilities for oversight of cardiac anesthesiology activities at all hospitals served by UPP anesthesiology include management of the department’s combined Cardiac Anesthesiology team, and administration of QA and education activities within the division.

Dr. Sullivan is a recognized leader and educator in the subspecialty of cardiothoracic anesthesiology. She is currently President of the Pennsylvania Society of Anesthesiologists, has recently become the department’s latest American Board of Anesthesiology oral board examiner, sits on the Editorial Board for the Journal of Cardiothoracic and Vascular Anesthesia, and is actively involved with the Society for Education in Anesthesia. Her commitment to the department and the subspecialty of Cardiac Anesthesiology make her a natural choice to promote excellence in cardiac anesthesia clinical care, education, and research throughout the system.
