Topics reviewed include relevant basic science, preoperative evaluation
and perioperative medicine, and the anesthetic management of patients

Important issues in the subspecialties of anesthesiology, including cardiothoracic, pediatric, obstetric, critical care, regional and acute and chronic pain management will be discussed and in particular, management of the difficult airway, and perioperative anesthetic complications will
be reviewed.
