We are pleased to announce that Dr. Annelot Krediet has received a Fulbright Fellowship and a fellowship from the Netherlands Society of Anesthesiology to continue her PhD studies in anesthesiology at UPMC. She will work in Dr. Paul Bigeleisen’s laboratory for her research studies.
Dr. Kreidiet is the second Fulbright fellow in three years to choose UPMC to continue her studies in anesthesiology. The previous Fulbright fellow was Nizar Moayeir ,who was a fellow from October 2006-April 2007. Dr. Moayeir also worked with Dr. Bigeleisen, whose research focuses on biomedical engineering, including building simulators, and using machine vision to diagnose diseases with a robot.
The Fulbright Fellowship is an international educational exchange program sponsored by the U.S. Government. Participants are chosen based on their academic merit and leadership potential, and are offered the opportunity to study; teach; and conduct research,
exchange ideas, and contribute to finding solutions to shared international concerns.
