The Department of Anesthesiology is among the largest academic anesthesiology departments in the world. We often profile the academic accomplishments of individuals in this group, and are pleased to present a new series of articles, titled “Profiles in Diversity,” which will allow you to get to know colleagues that have used their skills in unique ways or showed extreme determination to be among us.
