Drs. Brandom and Ramanathan have been invited to participate in
the ASA Workshop "New & Old Challenges in Clinical Anesthesia"
which will be presented at the MBNA InterContinental Hotel &
Conference Center of Cleveland on November 1st and 2nd, 2003.
Dr Ramanathan's topics on the agenda include:
- Parturient s/p prior C-section with difficult airway: Bleeding:
Does the diagnosis matter? Previa vs abruptio? Amniotic fluid
embolism.
- A pre-ecclamptic patient with fetal distress. Can I use regional
safely/effectively? How to prepare for GA?
Dr. Brandom's pediatric cases being presented are:
- "Patient with trisomy 21 for dental restoration"
- "A child with hypoxemia and respiratory distress after
strabismus surgery".
