The SEA 2006 Fall Meeting - "Developing the Next Generation of Academic Anesthesiologists" was held in Chicago, IL on October 13, 2006. Rite M. Patel, MD is the SEA Fall Meeting Program Chair, and attended the Board of Directors meeting on the 12th. John P. Williams, MD engaged in a debate titled "Should There Be A Pay Differential For Those Who Do Academic Work" taking the pro position. Ryan C. Romeo, MD gave a “Developing Interest in Academic Anesthesiology Careers” small group discussion workshop. Erin A. Sullivan, MD also gave a small group discussion workshop on "Documenting Academic Achievements." Other doctors from University of Pittsburgh, Department of Anesthesiology in attendance were Drs. Miriam Anixter, Shawn Beaman, Patricia Dalby, William McIvor, David Metro, and Nashaat Rizk.
