Dr. Tang Receives Over $1.5 Million in NIH Funds
Professor Pei Tang, PhD has been awarded a four-year, $1.5 million renewal of her RO1 grant “Anesthetic Sites in Transmembrane Peptides by NMR.” (Grant number R01GM056257-11) This project, in its eleventh year of funding, will advance the understanding of how and where general anesthetics act at the molecular level. This research will also solve the structures of a class of neurotransmitter-gated receptors, for which high-resolution structures are currently not available.
