Department Chair Dr. John P. Williams is being honored by the American Medical Association’s Women Physicians Congress as an inspirational Physician Mentor. The Physician Mentor Program recognizes physicians who have contributed to the achievements of women in the medical profession. Dr. Williams was nominated by resident Kristin Ondecko Ligda, MD for making positive influence in her professional life. He will receive this honor at the AMA-WPC Caucus at the 2009 Interim Meeting of the AMA House of Delegates on Saturday, November 7, 2009 in Houston, Texas. Congratulations, Dr. Williams!
